All social security welfare fund pension beneficiaries who were granted a pension before December 31, 2025, must complete the 'Mustering' Process via Akshaya centres between July 17 and October 31, 2026.

In a democratic system, sovereignty is vested in the people. Therefore, the Right to Information Act forms the foundation of a citizen's constitutional right to obtain precise knowledge about administrative affairs.

According to the law, if any citizen requests copies of documents or information from a local self-government institution, it must be provided within 30 days. In Panchayats, the Secretary acts as the Public Information Officer. The law also provides a provision to file an appeal against the decision of the Information Officer to the Assistant Director of Panchayats.
