Social Security Pension Schemes
Various Social Security Pension schemes are being implemented for eligible beneficiaries in Kottiyoor Grama Panchayat. Applications for scheme benefits must be submitted online through the portal given below:
1. Agricultural Labour Pension
A social security pension scheme provided by the government to offer basic financial support to agricultural workers who are unable to work due to old age.
Benefit: ₹2000 / Per Month
Eligibility Criteria
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Age must be 60 years or above.
- Must not be a service pensioner or recipient of family pension (Exemption available for those receiving Ex-gratia/NPS pension up to ₹4000).
- Must have been a permanent resident of Kerala for 10 years.
- Must not be an Income Tax payer.
- Must have worked as an agricultural labourer under a landowner for 10 years or more.
- Must not own land exceeding 2 acres (Not applicable to Scheduled Tribes).
- Must be a member of the Agricultural Workers' Welfare Fund Board.
- Must not own four-wheeled vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 1000 cc, excluding non-taxis (Ambassador car exempted).
- Must not be a plantation worker.
- Must not be receiving salary/pension from Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings.
- Must be destitute; must not be beggars or inmates of poor homes.
- Recipients of other social welfare pensions are not eligible (Except persons with disabilities; maximum 2 pensions including EPF).
- Application must be submitted to the Local Self-Government Institution where currently residing permanently.
- Must not own a concrete house with flooring and a built-up area exceeding 2000 sq. ft.
Documents to be Submitted
- Relieving certificate from the Agricultural Workers' Welfare Fund Board
- Age proof certificate
- Permanent residence certificate
- Income certificate attested by the Village Officer
- Aadhaar Card, Electoral Card, Ration Card
- Bank Passbook
- EPF Passbook/documents (for those receiving EPF pension below ₹4000)
2. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS)
A scheme providing monthly financial assistance to economically backward senior citizens as part of the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) under the Ministry of Rural Development, Central Government.
Benefit: ₹2000 / Per Month
Eligibility Criteria
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Age must be 60 years or above.
- Must be destitute and not under anyone's care/protection.
- Must not be a service pensioner or recipient of family pension (Exemption for Ex-gratia/NPS up to ₹4000).
- Must not be an Income Tax payer.
- Recipients of other social welfare pensions are not eligible (Except persons with disabilities; maximum 2 pensions including EPF).
- Must not own land exceeding 2 acres (Not applicable to Scheduled Tribes).
- Must not be beggars or inmates of poor homes.
- Must not own four-wheeled vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 1000 cc (Ambassador car exempted).
- Must have been permanently residing in Kerala for more than 3 years.
- Must not be receiving pension from Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings.
- Must not own a concrete house with flooring and a built-up area exceeding 2000 sq. ft.

3. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS)
A scheme implemented by the Central Government to provide monthly financial assistance to economically backward individuals with severe disabilities.
Benefit: ₹2000 / Per Month
Eligibility Criteria
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Must be destitute.
- No age limit.
- Must possess a medical certificate / Social Security Mission ID card proving disability.
- Those who receive or have applied for any other social welfare pension can also apply (Maximum 2 pensions).
- Service pensioners, Income Tax payers, beggars, and inmates of poor homes are not eligible.
- Must not own land exceeding 2 acres (Not applicable to Scheduled Tribes).
- Must not own four-wheeled vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 1000 cc (Ambassador car exempted).
- Must not own a concrete house with flooring and a built-up area exceeding 2000 sq. ft.

- Permanent residence certificate
- Income certificate
- Age proof certificate
- Aadhaar, Electoral, and Ration Cards
- Bank Passbook, EPF Passbook (if applicable)
4. Pension for Unmarried Women Above 50 Years
A scheme implemented by the Government of Kerala to provide financial support to economically backward unmarried women.
Benefit: ₹2000 / Per Month
Eligibility Criteria
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Must have completed 50 years of age (Unmarried mothers above 50 years can also apply).
- Must be unmarried and not under anyone's care/protection.
- Must be a permanent resident of Kerala.
- Applicants for other social welfare pensions are not eligible (Except persons with disabilities; maximum 2 pensions).
- Service pensioners, Income Tax payers, beggars, and inmates of poor homes are not eligible.
- Must not own land exceeding 2 acres (Not applicable to Scheduled Tribes).
- Must not own four-wheeled vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 1000 cc (Ambassador car exempted).
- Must not own a concrete house with flooring and a built-up area exceeding 2000 sq. ft.

5. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS)
A scheme implemented through the Ministry of Rural Development (NSAP) to provide monthly financial assistance to economically backward widows.
Benefit: ₹2000 / Per Month
Eligibility Criteria
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000.
- Must be destitute and not under anyone's care/protection.
- Must have been a permanent resident of Kerala for at least 2 years.
- Service pensioners, Income Tax payers, beggars, and inmates of poor homes are not eligible.
- Recipients of other social welfare pensions are not eligible (Except persons with disabilities; maximum 2 pensions).
- Must not own land exceeding 2 acres (Not applicable to Scheduled Tribes).
- Must not own four-wheeled vehicles with an engine capacity exceeding 1000 cc (Ambassador car exempted).
- Must not own a concrete house with flooring and a built-up area exceeding 2000 sq. ft.

- Husband's Death Certificate / Certificate proving missing for over 7 years or desertion
- Affidavit/Certificate proving non-remarriage
- Permanent residence certificate (minimum 2 years)

- Bank Passbook, EPF Passbook (if applicable)
