Family Health Centres are a key part of the Aardram Mission scheme initiated by the Government of Kerala. The main objective of this mission is to transform government hospitals into people-friendly institutions. The Family Health Centre (FHC) project is one of the major healthcare initiatives implemented by the Government of Kerala to strengthen the public health sector in the state. This project was launched with the goal of upgrading Primary Health Centres (PHCs) into more convenient and accessible community health centers.

  • 2. Maternal & Child Health Services: Ante-natal checkups, post-natal care, childhood immunizations, and nutritional advice.
  • 3. Lifestyle Disease Control: Screening and management for diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and cancer.
  • 4. Palliative Care: Home care treatment and support for bedridden patients and senior citizens.
  • 5. Mental Health Services: Counseling, mental health awareness, and necessary referral services.
  • 6. Public Health Activities: Health awareness classes, school health programs, lifestyle disease prevention camps, sanitation initiatives, and household health surveys.
